Dear Jack,
My spirit is lifted by being here at the ICRS. The many ways, ideas, designs, and attitudes from the variety of people are for the most part a good eye opening experience. Talking with people from different parts of the globe is stimulating.
Among the excitement of showing and telling of the goods and services there are many whom I’ve spoken with, so it seems, that are marketers and Christians.
There are some who are up front about the Lords work in lives and glow with expectations of His coming. They speak with me about their concern in the downward direction America is going. What was most gratifying was prying one on one with the few dear souls our Lord put I my path their on the arena floor.
Most fulfilling were my times talking with the employees who were from other parts of the world that know our Lord with vigor and strong confidence. Most wonderful was my discussion with the young employee on break as we discussed the suicide rate among young people.
While we sat outside drinking coffee watching the hustle and bustle of convention goers he told me of his friend. He was “one of us” a young man who was a regular guy but circumstances led him to go where no one can return.
It was a gift from God to pass on to him God’s truth by urging him to seek Jesus and find hope. Telling this lad of his friends missing love, friendship and hope in Jesus as well as the hope of going to heaven, was obviously not in his friends life or his.
This young man listened well how Jesus saved me, my thinking mind, my wayward heart, my spiritually dead soul. Encouraging him to seek biblical truth and guidance by asking Jesus for help and to pray the Holy Spirit of God leads him, brought a change to his face.
Pointing him to Jesus and giving him my business card pointing to my books story how the power of Christ saved, changed, and leads my life was why the Lord brought me to Atlanta.
Words were spoken hands were shook, business cards were passed out, trinkets and bobbles were displayed and packed, all of it pointed to Jesus. God alone searches the heart. Prayers were said for God’s mercy and grace to save souls. May His will be done.
Thank you for reading and writing comments on my blog site. In response, I’m posting my reply while I’m here in Atlanta, as it does relate to your message highlighting the fact that we need to be “pointing to Jesus”.
Take care Jack, like iron sharpens iron, we focus on Jesus, to the glory God.
