“In The School Library”
VERSE ONE
Education slang, rang as lucky eyes look
Peer pressure hangs, like my backpack full of books
A get-well card, can’t remove all the weight
School can be hard, hard to negotiate
BRIDGE
From the hall from the classroom
To the library students go
A group of us or alone
We survey tomorrow
CHORUS
Networking, laughing smirking, having fun, searching media
We study, my new old friends’, In The School, Library
Headphones…..
“A Work In Progress”
For the greater good, conquest of the west was understood
All options were weighed, steam train tracks were laid
Off the road red man, progress will move through your land
Freedom to vote grew, two thousand one world point of view
From an ivory tower, rules political power
Pushing the weak down, are bullies without a crown
Imperfect people, a few under the steeple
Rich and poor design, all dream for more sunshine
…..
Death has been comfortably ignored for the most part, up to now. But, as always death is a sure thing.
Avoiding the subject of death has been a family trait in the family of the Devil. Satan likes people to stay away from the conversation of death. Because talk about death will bring up talk about God.
God wants all people to unite through faith in God the Son, Lord Jesus. Jesus came to save souls from hell.
Satan hates…..
God has always allowed nations to go their own way.
America began in the blessed hope and behavior of seeking to please God. America became great. America has become a nation ignoring, mocking and vastly rejecting God. America without God is hopeless. Great nations rise and fall.
Acts 14:15-16 turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them, 16 who in bygone generations allowed all…..
“Rise Up Young Mind”
Polluted sky, future is unclear
Vote clean air, change is near
The planet cries, listen for pain
Everyone care, change will remain
Love humankind, open the door
Let’s come together, Rise Up Young Mind
Leave hate behind, make room for more
Let’s come together, Rise Up Young Mind
Gen-er-a-tion, X Y Z
Watch and wonder, we agree
Best in- ten-tion, searching for truth
Rolling thunder, all the youth
Keeping the future clean,…..
“On The Ladder Of Life”
School opportunity, global reality
Seem to slip, through my fingers
Staying home was free, time was too heavy
In my new zip, daylight lingers
Now and then, I wish I could walk again, in the halls of education
Hang on the boulevard, getting by is hard
People strolling, for something more
Emotion is scarred, prospects are barred
Cop cars rolling, it rains it pours
Bad timing, I should be climbing
…..
“Dancing With Time”
High school years, making a dozen
Blood sweat and tears, are all my cousin
Diploma frame, hanging on the wall
Not the same, plan A for all
Plan B is part, – time work for pay
Off the chart, making my way
Taking night class, home by midnight
Dreamland will pass, hello daylight
My favorite thing to do, is learn a new dance
Kick turn and then prance, I practice the corkscrew
Education…..
“Classroom Time Will Run”
Verse
Student of life so many hats to wear
Keep moving onto another square
A pawn a king taking in campus air
Learning grows like a tree I’m becoming me
Bridge
Seasons are seeds of hope change keeps blowing
Life is school it’s hard and easygoing
Verse Two
Adding attitude from my radio
Adventure from a book I will borrow`
Experience teaches I’m the hero
Imagine seeing me in a Marvel story
Chorus
…..
IF, thousands of men, women and children stand, sit and lay down a few feet from the border, and get hungry and thirsty and sick the problem won’t go away.
What will America do? What will the world do? What will the United Nations do? What will NATO do? Etc. etc. etc.? This is what happened from the Middle East spreading north. The larger question is why is God allowing it?
